Privacy Policy
What we collect, in plain language.
Know My Rep is built for students, so the short version matters: we don't ask who you are, and we'd rather not know.
Last updated 9 August 2026
We don't have accounts
There is no sign-up, no login, and no profile. We don't ask for your name, your email, your address, or your age, and we have no way to tie anything you do on this site back to you personally.
Questions you ask Civix
When you ask Civix a question, the text of that question — along with the earlier messages in the same conversation — is sent to third-party AI providers so an answer can be generated. Those providers process the text under their own terms. Your conversation is not saved to an account, because there are no accounts.
Please don't type personal information into Civix — not your full name, address, phone number, school, or anything about anyone else. You don't need it to get an answer, and we'd rather it never left your device.
Ordinary technical logs
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs to run the site and block abuse. These can include your IP address, your browser type, and which pages were requested. We use them to keep the site working, not to build a profile of you.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent data about you.
- We don't run advertising or ad-tracking pixels.
- We don't build voter files or share anything with campaigns, parties, or political organisations.
Students under 13
Know My Rep is written for middle and high school students. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
